Genesis Dragon Era – The “Primo Genesis Dragon” Deity and the Rise and Fall of Scientific Civilization

    中村聡

◆Breath of the Primo Genesis Dragon

10 billion years ago, a seismic shift shook Planet Cray. From the origin of deityhood known as “Cray’s Idea”, the first of the deities in history was born—the “Primo Genesis Dragon”. Its divine protection sprawled far and wide, ushering in colorful waves of life and evolutionary splendor across the expanse of Cray.

The first noetic lifeform to grace this realm were the Dragons, bearing a strong resemblance to the awe-inspiring “Primo Genesis Dragon”. Records akin to divine myths speak of six Progenitor Dragons spawning legions of their kin in their wake.

After the Dragons came a multitude of species and races, each charting its own unique evolutionary course. Among these, some achieved soaring intellects and flourishing civilizations, which led to the eventual founding of two nations. One was the majestic “Dragonia”, forged by the Dragons’ might, while the other was “Zoo”, a melting pot for diverse life—flora, fauna, and insects alike.

In the wake of these two great nations, it took approximately 5 billion years for change to unfold. Records indicate a metamorphosis rippled across Planet Cray 5 billion years ago, leading to the arrival of new races – starting with Humans – and heralding the wild proliferation of small, ambitious states led by these youthful newcomers.

◆The Rise and Fall of Scientific Civilization

Amidst the chaos, a groundbreaking event occurred in one of the new small states that dramatically propelled Planet Cray’s civilization forward. From beneath the permafrost of the Southern Continent, the remnants of an extraterrestrial civilization were unearthed. Through the research of these ruins, scientific advancements surged exponentially, culminating in the successful launch of moon rockets and artificial satellites.

Upon reaching the lunar surface, the inhabitants of Planet Cray experienced their first contact with what appeared to be an extraterrestrial lifeform. Regrettably, attempts to communicate with the beings then named “Etranger” failed, leading to a temporary cessation of contact with the extraterrestrial civilization.

However, several centuries later, contact was initiated with a different extraterrestrial civilization (※), initiating correspondences and exchanges that saw continuity. The new extraterrestrial civilization comprised various organizations to which different star systems belonged, and an interstellar crime prevention treaty based on mutual cooperation was established as a result of the prolonged communications. This treaty laid the groundwork for the inception of Planet Cray’s oldest “Clan”, which later became known as “Dimension Police”.

(※) Legend has it that prior to this contact, a young boy from Cray crossed paths with a hero from another planet and aided in his battles, ultimately fostering this interaction.

The rapid expansion of food production accompanying the progress of scientific civilization led to a swift increase in Planet Cray’s population. In order to sustain their burgeoning numbers, the countless small states frequently vied for territory and resources in recurring conflicts. Consequently, this period witnessed a significant growth in weaponry and military industries.

Even in this tumultuous phase, “Dragonia” stood as an unparalleled entity with its vast lands and territories, and was speculated to have maintained its formidable national power and military strength. During this period, intriguing records surfaced concerning another major power, “Zoo”. Reports detailed the successful development of transmuted mutants by an insect-based criminal syndicate with advanced scientific prowess. This felonious clan called itself “Megacolony”, and appeared to have wreaked havoc across borders with the highly refined performance of their creations.

Despite international conflicts and the machinations of criminal syndicates, this era is considered to be one of Planet Cray’s golden ages. For billions of years, there was minimal interference from the planet’s greatest risk, the Void, allowing a precious era of focused evolution and cultural blossoming.

Yet, this glorious time ultimately came to an end. The deity “Primo Genesis Dragon” had fulfilled its purpose and returned to “Cray’s Idea”. Perhaps as repercussions of losing its divine protection, the resources that sustained the scientific civilization depleted, plunging nations, populations, and even civilization itself into an era where mere preservation became a difficult task.
How will Planet Cray endure these hardships, and what fruits will it bear at the end of it all? The next chapter will shine a spotlight on the diverse array of clans unfurling in the new era.
