Introducing a new system for Vanguard!

With this system, you can ride your favorite units without fail, use powerful triggers, and make use of a mechanism that allows for more intense cardfights!


The new Standard format allows you to ride your favourite grade 1, 2, and 3 units without fail!

Procedure

1. Choose a Grade 0, 1, 2, and 3 from your Main Deck of 50 cards. These four cards will be your Ride Deck!
The Grade 0 you chose will be your First Vanguard!

2. When you ride during Ride Phase, discard a card from your hand, and you can ride a unit of the next grade from your Ride Deck!

The new grade 3 units have this new skill called “Persona Ride”!
Cards that can “Persona Ride” have the Persona Ride Icon on them!

Explanation

1. When you ride a card with the same card name as your vanguard, and that vanguard has the Persona Ride icon, Persona Ride activates!
2. There are two Persona Ride effects!
・Draw a card!
・The units in your front row get Power+10000 until the end of turn!

Introducing the new and super powerful trigger, Over Trigger!

Explanation

When it is triggered, draw a card! One of your units gets Power+100 Million!
In addition, if it was a drive check, there’s an additional effect!

As it is too powerful, it can only be triggered once per fight!

You may only include one piece per deck for an Over Trigger
When an Over Trigger is triggered, that card is removed from the game
Drive Check: It does not go to your hand, and is removed
Damage Check: It is not put into your damage zone, and is removed

The Ride Deck

Q: Does the number of cards in the Ride Deck count towards the total deck count?
A: Yes it does. The total number of cards in the Main Deck and the Ride deck must be 50.

Q: Must the copies of the same card in the main deck and the ride deck be up to 4?
A: Yes, There must only be up to 4 copies of the same card in total. If one copy is placed in the ride deck, you’ll be able to put up to 3 copies in the main deck.

Q: Can I put only Grade 2 cards in my Ride deck?
A: No you cannot. You must have 1 copy each of Grade 0, 1, 2 and 3 units.

Q: Can you put an Order Card into the Ride Deck as well?
A: No, you cannot.

Q: Do we use separate sleeves for the main deck and ride deck? Or do we use the same sleeves?
A: The sleeves for the main deck and the ride deck must be different. There is no issue even if the sleeves are different within the ride deck.

Q: Can you ride from both the Ride Deck and your hand during the same Ride Phase?
A: No, you cannot.
You may only ride once per Ride Phase.

Q: Can you ride a grade 3 from the Ride Deck during your next turn if you rode a grade 3 from hand this turn?
A: No, you cannot.
Riding from the Ride Deck can only be performed by riding a card that is 1 grade greater than your vanguard.
As you can ride a card with the same grade from hand, you can choose to ride a grade 3 from your Ride Deck this turn, and ride a grade 3 from hand next turn.

Q: For cards that are placed within the Ride Deck, what happens if they have to be placed in other areas?
A: If you have to place it in the main deck, said card will be placed back to the Ride Deck instead. For other zones, the cards will be placed in the zone indicated.

Q: Is the Ride Deck also allowed in V Premium and Premium?
A: No. The Ride Deck is only allowed in Standard format.

Persona Ride

Q: During the turn where I rode a grade 3 unit on a grade 2 unit, can I continue to use Persona Ride?
A: No, you cannot. You can only ride once a turn. You’ll be able to use Persona Ride in the next turn.

Q: After using Persona Ride, I called a rear-guard to the front row. Does this rear-guard get Power +10000?
A: Yes, it does.

Q: The rear-guards that were in the front row during Persona Ride were moved to the back row.
Do the rear-guards moved to the back row still keep the Power+10000 from Persona Ride?
A: No, they do not.

Q: The vanguard that was placed due to Persona Ride no longer exists due to some effects.
Is the resolution of “Your units in the front row get Power+10000 until end of turn” effect lost as well?
A: No, it will remain until the end of that turn.

Q: A vanguard with the “Persona Ride Icon” was rode upon by another unit with the “Persona Ride Icon” and the same card name as that vanguard due to some effects. Can that ride be regarded as Persona Ride?
A: No, Persona Ride can only occur when you normal ride from hand.

Q: On the turn after I rode a grade 3 unit directly from hand, can I ride a grade 3 from my Ride Deck and perform a Persona Ride?
A: No, you cannot. You can only ride one grade above your current vanguard when riding from the Ride Deck, therefore, you are unable to use Persona Ride.

The Over Trigger

Q: Is the Over Trigger included as one of the sixteen triggers of a deck?
A: Yes, it is.

Q: Can you include one piece each of Over Triggers with different card names in a deck?
A: No, you cannot.
You may only include one piece of Over Trigger per deck.

Q: What does it mean by “remove this card” in the Over Trigger card text?
A: After it is triggered, this card will be removed from the fight, and it will be in the state where it cannot be used again for that fight.

Q: Even if I gain 100 Million Power due to Over Trigger, can sentinels guard against it?
A: Yes, they can. Regardless of how high the attacking unit’s power is, as long as the ability of a sentinel is used during guard step, the attack will not hit.

Q: If it’s called to the Guardian Circle, does it get removed?
A: No, it doesn’t. It only gets removed when it is revealed for a trigger check.

Q: When revealed for damage check, if I have less damage than my opponent, will the Over Trigger be removed from the fight?
A: Yes, it will. It will be removed from the fight regardless of players’ current damage.

Q: When receiving two damage, the first trigger check reveals an Over Trigger. Is the remaining 1 damage nullified as well?
A: No, it isn’t. Once the trigger effect of the Over Trigger is resolved, the damage check for the remaining 1 damage will occur.
