Regarding the April 2026 Deck Construction Rules Update
This update to the Cardfight!! Vanguard Fighter’s Rules mainly makes use of the results of various Bushiroad Championship Series 25/26 (BCS 25/26) Regional Qualifier events.
Standard Format
We have observed the following ridelines with high usage rates and/or win rates to have shown results in BCS 25/26 Regional Qualifier events.
・Rewrite the Star, Vyrgilla
・Sugary and Scary Land, Heartluru
・Aurora Battle Princess, Seraph Clearlight
・Deeplands, Reguregnus
We have also observed that with how certain cards are able to recycle the use of cards with the Sentinel ability (or cards with defensive capability similar to cards with the Sentinel ability), the time needed to finish a game has increased, leading to a greater likelihood that games involving such cards are unable to conclude within the allotted round time. With that in mind, and with future card development in consideration, we will be implementing the following restrictions with effect from May 1st, 2026.

Premium Format
While we have observed a wide variety of decks being used in BCS 25/26 Regional Qualifiers, we have also observed some consolidation of deck types among the top performers, with one particular deck punching above its weight with a sharp increase in usage rate among the top performers. With that in mind, we will be implementing the following restrictions with effect from May 1st, 2026.
