Welcome to V-Premium & Premium Format!

New to V-Premium and Premium Format, but not clear on how to play?
Check out this guide on the key differences of V Premium & Premium and the popular card abilities used in them!

No Ride Deck (V-Premium & Premium)

As Ride Decks are not available for V-Premium & Premium formats, make sure to balance the grades of your cards when building your deck!

It’s Clan, not Nation (V-Premium & Premium)

For V Premium and Premium formats, you build your deck based on a Clan of your choice!

The Clan of a card is written on the following location of your card:

Stride & G Zone (Premium)

The usage of Stride and G Zone is available for the Premium format! (Also available for certain cards in the Standard format)

What are “G Units”?

G Units are special units that are gathered in the G Zone!

There are two types of G Units: G Units for Striding & G Units that are G Guardians!

How to Stride

During the Stride Step of your Ride Phase (it’s the step after your Ride Step within the same Ride Phase!), you can Stride when either of the following conditions is met:

  • Both players’ vanguards are grade 3 or greater
  • Your vanguard is grade 3 or greater at the beginning of your turn

During the Stride Step of your Ride Phase (it’s the step after your Ride Step within the same Ride Phase!), you can Stride when either of the following conditions is met:

  • Both players’ vanguards are grade 3 or greater
  • Your vanguard is grade 3 or greater at the beginning of your turn

Once either of the conditions is met, simply pay the cost of the STRIDE ability of the face down G Unit you wish to Stride in your G Zone and Stride it onto your vanguard!

When you Stride, your original vanguard becomes a Heart card, and the G Unit you Stride gets the Heart Card’s [Power] and card name. At the end of the turn, the G Unit is returned to the G Zone face up.

These G Units used for Striding are powerful units that have Triple Drive! Make sure to make use of them effectively!

G Guardians

G Guardians are G Units that can be called during the Guard Step of your opponent’s turn! All you need to do is pay the cost of the G Guardian ability of the face down G Unit you wish to call and then call the G Unit to your Guardian Circle!

G Guardians are powerful units that can help you when you’re in a pinch during your opponent’s turn!

All the triggers you want! (V-Premium & Premium)

In Standard format, there are restrictions where players can only include up to a maximum of 8 copies of each of the following trigger types (out of the 16 triggers in their deck)

However, these restrictions do not apply to V Premium & Premium format! Strategically use these triggers to your advantage!

Stand Trigger (Premium)

For the Premium format, there is an additional trigger available, known as the “Stand” Trigger!

When this trigger is revealed, you can stand one of your rested rear-guards and give Power to one of your units!

Old Icons (Premium)

Remember, for Premium format, all cards can be used! As older cards may also be using older versions of these skill icons, make sure to take note of the older icons as well!

We hope this guide gives you a better idea of the differences between the various formats!
