Regarding the August 2024 Deck Construction Rules Update
Following the conclusion of the majority of the Bushiroad Spring Fest (BS) 2024 events, deck construction rules for the following Standard decks will be updated to ensure a healthy tournament environment.
[Choice Restriction]
・Demon Stealth Dragon, Shiranui “Oboro” (D-SS09/001EN)
・Dragon Deity King of Resurgence, Dragveda (D-BT01/013EN, etc.)
Since its release in February this year, [Demon Stealth Dragon, Shiranui “Oboro”] decks have drawn a lot of attention, leading to a high usage rate among BSF 2024 participants of over 15%. [Demon Stealth Dragon, Shiranui “Oboro”] decks made up over 20% of the top cut in those same tournaments. With that performance in mind, we have decided to add a choice restriction for these 2 cards to adjust the maximum number of attacks the deck can possibly make in its first Stride turn.

・Dragheart, Luard (D-SS10/011EN)
・Cerrgaon (D-PR/389EN)
With a usage rate among BSF 2024 participants of over 10%, [Dragheart, Luard] is another deck that has been making waves, resulting in [Dragheart, Luard] decks making up over 15% of the top cut decks. This advantage was further solidified by the release of [Cerrgaon] and the benefits brought about by its high synergy with the deck’s Ritual mechanic, and thus, we have decided to add a choice restriction for these 2 cards.

・Tranquil Affection, Elivira (D-LBT01/018EN) & What Color is Your Wish, Valsheblan (D-SS05/016EN)
In light of the reduced usage rates (under 10%) of the decks affected by these 2 pairs of Choice Restrictions in the tournaments since their implementation, we have decided to remove the restrictions.
