Blazing Holy Sword Equip, Stravairina

Vairina rises to new heights, emboldened to vanquish the Dragontree! ‘Blazing Holy Sword Equip, Stravairina’ enhances the Nirvana Jheva deck with its phenomenal offensive abilities! By combining one Trickstar and two or more <Prayer Dragon>, Stravairina can enter the field in the X-overDress state. Then, it gives itself and your Nirvana vanguard extra Power whilst conferring Triple Drive to Nirvana, ensuring a dangerous vanguard attack that the deck previously lacked.

When Stravairina in the X-overDress state is Stand by your vanguard’s ability, it Stands all other <Talisman> and <Prayer Dragon> rear-guards! If it has five or more originalDress attached to it, Stravairina also removes all markers from your opponent’s rear-guard circles and retires their allies! With Stravairina, Nirvana Jheva can now reliably achieve five powerful attacks every turn, while also having a means to counter the Griphogila deck.

Alongside Stravairina are a flight of resilient dragons that support Nirvana Jheva! Upon entering the field other than from deck, Aparajea calls another Prayer Dragon from deck! It also draws a card and prevents the outerDress unit from being chosen by enemy effects when it becomes an originalDress! Next up is Drahas, which calls two ‘Blazing Heavenly’ cards from deck or drop as Rest. If a unit in the X-overDress state was retired for its ability cost, it draws a card as well! In short, Aparajea and Drahas help to fill your board with relevant Prayer Dragons that can then be used for X-overDress or as attackers!

Nandeeka and Kalmodak give more offensive pressure to your X-overDress rear-guards! Upon becoming an originalDress, Nandeeka gives the outerDress unit the ability to force your opponent to guard with two or more cards for the battles it attacked that turn! On the other hand, Kalmodak gives its outerDress unit additional Power for every grade of your opponent’s vanguard!

Other Cards

For decks using grade 4 units, they can rely on ‘Pealing Dragon, Bliorvis’! Calling Bliorvis to a rear-guard circle allows you to retire an enemy ally and strengthen itself, while calling it to the guardian circle gives it extra Shield! Bliorvis also grants a draw when discarded from hand when riding a grade 3 from ride deck or for Stride! This card will be a boon for the upcoming Special Series 09: Stride Deckset -Shiranui-, providing the deck with a discard target when Striding and an impactful attacker with spot removal.

Other generics to consider are Goonjouku, Ragoon Qimrud and Rovania! Goonjouku is a strong attacker when called by a card’s ability against your opponent’s field, and retires itself for a draw when its attack hits a vanguard! The card’s Stealth name can prove useful for decks like Shojodoji and Megalonozuchi! As the Dragontree Wretch for Dragon Empire, Ragoon Qimrud creates a Dragontree marker and searches for the Masque of Hydragrum to enhance the consistency of a Dragon Empire-focused Griphogila deck! Lastly, Ravonia gives extra Power to all rear-guards called by your vanguard’s ability! Its potential can be brought out in decks that superior call frequently, like Tamayura, Megalonozuchi and Shojodoji!

‘Demonic Jewel True Dragon, Drajeweled Ignis’ is the crown jewel that revolutionises the Drajeweled deck! By riding Ignis on another Drajeweled unit, you can unlock the powers of this card! When your battle phase begins, Drajeweled Ignis puts two cards from drop into soul, and strengthens your front row units! On attack, Drajeweled Ignis decimates your opponent’s back row units, gains a Critical, and reduces your opponent’s front row units’ Power to 0! Additionally, your Drajeweled cards can be Soul-Blast as any grade from 0 to 4 when paying the cost for this ability! This card is the payoff for the deck, guaranteeing a suffocating offensive push the moment it is ridden! The key for Drajeweled players is to prolong the game until they can ride Ignis to turn the tides.

Thankfully, Drajeweled players will gain access to a supporting cast that is par for the course. To access their impactful abilities, you need to meet this condition: you must either reveal Ignis in your hand or have it as your vanguard. When Zagan is called to the field during your main phase, you can Soul-Charge 1 and call a card from soul! This board building capability coupled with soul accumulation allows Drajeweled to engage opponents with key allies more consistently! Additionally, Zagan gains Boost if you have a Drajeweled vanguard, so it supports your offense from the rear while restanders like Empousa or Rockargour occupy the front row!

Let’s not forget Valpula and Hoardslash Dracokid! When you Soul-Blast 4 or more cards at once for Drajeweled’s ability, Valpula moves to soul to draw a card and Stands another rear-guard! This card serves as an alternative to Empousa, enabling consistent five attacks for the deck! (Valpula can be considered superior to Empousa, since it allows you to select more competent attackers like Noctursio as restanders.) When placed,Hoardslash Dracokid adds a grade 4 Drajeweled from the top seven cards of your deck to your hand! If you fail the search, you draw a card! These cards bring reliability in mounting a formidable offense and generating card advantage to secure Drajeweled’s game plan!

Other Cards

Grade 4 decks like Chronojet and Drajeweled gain access to the new ‘Soul Funeral Dragon, Noctursio’! Calling it as a rear-guard allows you to recycle two cards in your drop to soul, while calling it as a guardian for extra Shield! When discarded when riding to grade 3 or Striding, it also draws a card! Noctursio’s soul accumulation and defensive prowess aids the aforementioned decks greatly, since their decks expend soul frequently and require a prolonged game.

There’s also Lindalkia, which calls another grade 3 or less ally from the top five cards of your deck and binds a trigger unit in your drop upon entering the field! It also becomes empowered if you have three or more trigger units in your bind zone! Masque decks like Astroea, Ominagruzio and Greedon can take advantage of Lindalkia’s board building capabilities! (The former two can benefit from binding their triggers as it is a core part of their gameplay.)

For Greedon users, Mousheen can be considered for its ability to call itself from soul upon your vanguard’s attack! It’s a strong attacker that can be used in both regular Greedon and Greedon Masques! Lastly, Astroea users can utilise Phonograph Operastar for its on-demand card draw and scaling Power gain based on their Critical trigger count in their bind!

On the other hand, Sortien serves as an alternative option to Bobalmine; when your grade 2 or greater Product is put into the order zone, it moves into soul to Counter-Charge 1! Between both cards, Bobalmine provides battle phase Counter-Charge that can enable additional attacks from Freischutz Maximum. Sortien instead offers more flexibility in timing its use; it can activate in the main phase when you initially put your Products into play, or during the end phase when Products like Freischutz Maximum or Eingarten return to the order zone!

Galactic B-Hero, Amass Darngia, and Galactic B-Hero, Viary Capus

The Galactic B-Hero squad have recruited new allies in their fight against evil! Amass Darngia is one of the core cards that optimises the deck’s potential: on-place, it searches a Base card from your deck and puts it into the order zone. After attacking, this card calls a scouted card in your Base to the field as well! Amass Darngia resolves the issue where you’re unable to find Bases to put into play and raises the offensive ceiling of the deck!

There’s also Viary Capus, which scouts itself and another B-Hero card from hand to Base at the end of your turn to draw a card and Stand a Base in your order zone! Use this to cycle through your deck further and reset your Bases to be used for defense! These two cards allow B-Heroes to thin their deck efficiently for increased chances at checking triggers and scout enough allies to fight alongside!

Other Cards

‘Macrocosmic Dragon, Marstoge’ is the generic grade 3 that grade 4 decks can utilise! As a rear-guard, Marstoge Soul-Charges 1 and empowers itself; as a guardian, it gains additional Shield! It can also be discarded from hand when riding to grade 3 or Striding to draw a card! Decks like Seraph Snow and Messiah which expend soul frequently for their abilities stand to benefit from this card!

Skewed Pain Dragon and Sky Pouncer are tech options for different decks to consider! Upon attacking a vanguard, Skewed Pain Dragon retires an opposing rear-guard and gains Power for every five grades of the sum of grades of Set Orders in your order zone! A deck like Eledglema which accumulates Set Orders in the order zone rapidly can use this card for its spot removal and Power gain. On the other hand, Sky Pouncer provides a way to recycle important Set Orders in your damage zone or drop to hand! It also has “Monster” in its card name, making it a potential addition to the Arkhite deck that adds some utility to the deck!

The cardfighter Jinki Mukae picks up his brother’s deck in a bid to realign his goals with Gui! The deck focuses on Alden, previously seen as a Bastion support card! Its first ability is reminiscent of its original version, as you can call an ally from hand during your main phase and draw two cards! Upon attacking, Alden also bounces an ally to hand and calls two cards from hand with their grades totalling that or less of the card bounced to the same column!

Alden’s ride line consists of Admis and Tranquilia, which allow you to call a unit from the top 5 cards of your deck when they are rode upon! If you did not call, they call themselves from soul to the field instead! These cards provide great aggression for the deck with added deck thinning without using your hand!

Alden also has a great complementary supporting cast! Lightleads Dragon is a grade 3 that also serves as a booster! After it attacks or boosts, it can move another rear-guard in its column to the soul to empower Alden! Ermac is the main attacker of the deck, gaining immense Power when called by a card ability! Lastly, Firon is a useful booster that also Counter-Charges!

The fast paced gameplay of Alden is certainly one to be reckoned with, so maximise your early turns to get as much mileage on your opponent as possible!

Youthberk enthusiasts, the spotlight is on you once again with these new support cards! When ridden through RevolDress, RevolForm: Full Blast performs a variety of effects depending on the different RevolForms cards in your soul. At its peak, this card gains extra Critical, drive, returns an enemy rear-guard to the bottom of their deck and buffs the front row!

RevolForm: Full Blast’s offensive potential is dependent on finding all three RevolForms and putting them into your soul as quickly as possible. Thankfully, the deck has Fergosa and Corino to rely on! When called to the field, Fergosa puts a RevolForm from your deck or drop directly into soul, and lets you draw a card if you’ve already found all three copies! It also gets Power when your vanguard is placed by RevolDress! On the other hand, Corino can be called from deck or discarded from hand during your turn to add a RevolForm from deck or drop to hand, before putting a card from hand to soul! The consistency that both cards have for Youthberk allows it to have an incredible grade 3 turn compared to many other decks!

Sword Light Dragon, Skylizen, and Dragontree Wretch, Geala Dyeshach

As the grade 3 generic for decks employing grade 4s, Skylizen either confers Boost to two rear-guards when placed on rear-guard circle, or gains valuable Shield when called as a guardian. Its ability to draw when discarded when riding to Grade 3 or when Striding also proves valuable in maintaining hand card advantage! While the upcoming Luard deckset would prefer running more grade 1 cards instead of this, a deck like Bastion could consider using it!

Geala Dyeshach is the Dragontree Wretch option for Keter Sanctuary-oriented Griphogila decks! Being able to generate Dragontree markers and find the Masque of Hydragrum helps the deck’s consistency and sustainability into the late game!

This card introduces the UnisonDress mechanic to the deck, allowing Lianorn Vivace to draw a card and enter the UnisonDress state for the rest of the fight when riding on a unit in the UnisonDress state or a different named Lianorn unit! Mushiking: King of the Beetles, Mushiking: King of the Beetles Machine, Flat Stag-beetle, Neptune Beetle, and Tarandus Stag-beetle

The long-awaited collaboration of Mushiking X Cardfight!! Vanguard is finally here! This deck revolves around beetles that can pack a punch on the battlefield! For this deck to work, you need to run the specific grade 0 ‘Mushiking: King of the Beetles’! This card generates a Crest when ridden upon by a grade 1 <Mushi>, which is crucial to the functions of the deck! This Mushiking Crest prevents the player from riding units that are not <Mushi> and from playing set orders outside of the Crest’s ability; in exchange, it puts three Attack Set Orders from deck or hand directly into the order zone! The Crest also adds a <Mushi> or an Attack card from the top five cards of your deck to hand, thinning down your deck and finding key pieces for offensive plays! Lastly, it enables the use of your Attack cards: when your <Mushi> attacks, you can Rest an Attack card in your order zone and use its ability!

Now, let’s look at the Attack Set Orders to utilise in the Mushiking deck! ‘Super Tornado Throw’ is used together with ‘Japanese Beetle’, strengthening its Power and giving it the ability to drive check! It can also give Power to ‘Fist Stag-beetle’ in the early game, since its Skill is also 80 or greater! ‘Rolling Clutch Hold’ is the finishing move of ‘Parry Stag Beetle’, giving it Power and paralysing an enemy rear-guard! Like before, it also confers Power to ‘Neptune Beetle’ on your vanguard. Last but not least, ‘Tarandus Stag-Beetle‘ uses ‘Machine Gun Punches’ to empower itself and gain the ability to restand!

Burrow Mushrooms

Gather Upon Me, Ye Wandering Souls, and Burrow Mushrooms

Gather Upon Me, Ye Wandering Souls and Burrow Mushrooms are the best cards to pair with in the Mushiking deck! By discarding an order card in hand, Gather Upon Me, Ye Wandering Souls gives your vanguard an extra drive! Use it together with Machine Gun Punches to perform 4-5 drive checks with your vanguard! This order can even be used with your grade 2 vanguard for an explosive turn! On the other hand, Burrow Mushrooms moves itself to soul to call two Plant tokens! Use this for board building and aggressive plays!

Other Cards

Enlargulv is the versatile grade 3 generic that can be wielded by grade 4 decks! As a rear-guard, it recycles a grade 2 or greater unit in your drop to hand! As a guardian, it gains additional Shield! Enlargulv can also be discarded when riding to grade 3 or Striding to draw a card! While there are no Stride decks in Stoicheia yet, this card could be of use in Magnolia Elder! There’s also applications in Premium for Magallanica (other than Bermuda Triangle) and Zoo for its recycling ability! (You could use it to grab Heal Guardians or key ride targets!)

For Zorga players, Philander and Spoof Shade are interesting support cards to consider! When placed, Philander discards a card from the top five cards of your deck, allowing you to dig through your deck for key pieces like Roaming Prison Dragon or order cards for later use! It also gets Power if your drop has ten or more cards! On the other hand, Spoof Shade is considered an order card when discarded from hand by a card ability, and gains Power when it is in the back row if Alchemagic was performed during your turn! These cards enhance the offensive strength of your attacking columns and make the deck more consistent!

Lastly, the normal order ‘Command of Death’s Restraint’ is one that can be employed by all Stoicheia decks! When played, discard the top card of your deck, choose a card with grade less than or equal to your vanguard’s in your drop, and call that unit card to the field or add that order card to hand! This order can even be accessed from turn 2 onwards, allowing you to set up plays early!

Supreme Dragontree of Annihilation, Griphogila Vartex, and Gripho Eschatologui

The doomsday clock ticks down for Planet Cray as the Dragontree evolves into Griphogila Vartex! This grade 11 vanguard creates a Gripho Eschatologui token in your order zone when ridden. Griphogila Vartex gains immense Power and Critical, and can confer itself lasting Power if there is a total of ten or more <Hydragrum> and Dragontree markers on your board! Upon attacking, Griphogila Vartex removes a Calamity from your ride deck. If you did not remove a card, you activate the trigger effects and additional effects of a trigger unit in your ride deck, before Standing all rear-guards with Dragontree markers on their circles!

Let’s not forget the token set order that Griphogila Vartex creates! When your main phase begins, this set order puts a trigger unit from deck into the ride deck and calls a Hydragrum card from drop to the field! Additionally, Gripho Eschatologui discards a Griphogila card in hand to draw a card, create a Dragontree marker and remove a Calamity card in your ride deck! Even after your guaranteed OverTrigger turn, you’ll still be guaranteed triggers to threaten your opponent with!

This pair of cards enhances the Dragontree strategy, hastening the game plan by a turn earlier and enriching the deck with greater offensive strength!
